The Most Radical Building in Central Europe - Explore the Slovak Radio Building!
This time Adam Gebrian visited the Slovak Radio Building that is located in Bratislava, Slovakia.
It is said that people generally like buildings that taper towards the sky, are unconcerned about those that stay the same, and hate those that expand upwards to show off their fight against gravity. Great MW band scan in Bratislava, Slovakia, on XHDATA D-808 #radio
This is the fourth in my series of four videos of MW band scans in cities around Europe during my European trip. This one is in Bratislava, Slovakia. This was a fun one, conditions were good, there was less RFI than in the other cities and there were many new signals here.
You can hear Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine and some others here. As I did throughout my trip, I try to identify signals as best I can. I compare what I hear to online streams when possible. But I welcome corrections and comments, sometimes I am not quite sure of what I am hearing. Each city was a new environment for me.

Recorded from Radio Bratislava (Rádio Slovensko) 1999, with film excerpts from the film "Zem spieva".
"Na Kráľovej holi" ("On the King's Hill") is a slovak folksong from the Horehronia. Became known mainly through the movie "Zem spieva" (1933) ("The earth sings") by Karola Plicku.
In the original version of the text is in the first stanza "His top leans to the Šumiackej Land". The amended text first appeared in the movie "Zem spieva" just.
According to legend, wrote the text šumiacky soldier fighting on the Russian front, who was shot and realizes that he will probably not get home.
